MFST’s NFL Picks: Thursday Night [Falcons vs Eagles]
The MFST crew is back for another season of NFL picks. If you are new to our Pick’em segment–the hosts of the My Fantasy Podcast, Dan Schalk, Brandon Reid and Orlando Torres pick all the NFL games straight up and keep track of those picks each week. Two years ago, Dan Schalk took home the title as the Pick’em champion and last year, Orlando Torres took the honors. Will this be Brandon’s year? Doubtful (if you ask me)….
We begin with the Thursday Night matchup between the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles and the dangerous Atlanta Falcons.
Falcons vs Eagles

Dan Schalk: Atlanta Falcons. No Carson Wentz is actually a big deal for the Eagles. I’m not buying Nick Foles sustaining his incredible play during the team’s postseason run a year ago. Atlanta has the better offense without Wentz playing and I think their defense will surprise people this season.
Brandon Reid: Philadelphia Eagles. This should be a great game to open up the 2018 season between the last two NFC representatives in the Super Bowl. Although I am picking the Eagles to return to the Super Bowl this year, my confidence is not real high on this pick, just because it’s Week 1 and there will be nerves and a feeling out process that happens throughout the game. I give the edge to Philly because of their defense, and they’re at home. Vegas says Philly by 1.5.
Orlando Torres: Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles are battered with injuries and Nick Foles might finally come back to earth. They’ll be better days for Philly during the season, but Thursday night won’t be one of them. Atlanta wins.
