MFST’s TNF Picks [Jets at Browns]
Two weeks of the NFL season are complete and our records indicate the parody in the NFL. Brandon has established a solid three-to-four game lead through the first two weeks, can the only MFST picker not to win a regular season title maintain this lead for the entire season? Time will tell…
Standings after Week 2
Brandon Reid: 20-10-2
Dan Schalk: 17-13-2
Orlando Torres: 16-14-2
Jets at Browns
Dan Schalk: Cleveland Browns. Both defenses are legit and honestly, I’d take Sam Darnold as a rookie over Tyrod Taylor as a veteran. That being said, I like the Browns defense and running backs to do more on Thursday night, pulling out their first victory in over a year.
Brandon Reid: Cleveland Browns. The truth is Detroit is a bad football team and Matt Stafford has the 27th ranked passer rating in the NFL right now. So the Jet plane is more like a hang glider, than a 747. They are 1-6 in the redzone this year. Cleveland has been very competitive and even shocked me the way they have hit the gate. If they had a decent kicker, they would probably be 2-0. They do have a new kicker now, and they are back in front of their home fans, on a short week. I stand by my prediction that the Browns will be improved this year, but only win four or five games. This will be one of them.
Orlando Torres: Cleveland Browns. I thought the Browns would be a bit more exciting, but their defense is legit. For the Jets this is their third game in 11 days, so expect that factor to kick in. I’m going with the Browns here to edge it out, and get their first W.
