Week 9 proved to be one of the most difficult weeks to predict in the last decade. My dreadful 4-8 week brings my season total to 74-48, putting a kink in my ultimate goal of 75% of games picked correctly. This week, I chose some upsets that I believe have a strong possibility of coming to fruition. Without further adieu, here are my Week 10 picks….

Jaguars 23 at Ravens 20

In a game that features two teams with ugly records, I like Blake Bortles to continue his underrated season as he quietly silencing a lot of critics with a solid outing and a Jags road win.

Lions 17 at Packers 31

It’s been over 20 years since the Lions have beaten the Pack in Green Bay. This is not the type of Lions team to end that streak.

Dolphins 24 at Eagles 21

Both teams have underachieved so far this season, and have played a Jekyll vs Hyde role all year-long. Which team will show up on Sunday? I’m not sure anyone knows, but I like Tannehill to bounce back and outplay Sam Bradford in a close road win.

Browns 23 at Steelers 20

No Big Ben, no Bell. The Browns have gotten lucky in this matchup and I believe they will take advantage pulling off the upset against their bitter division rival. I don’t trust Landry Jones as a starting caliber quarterback, and would prefer McCown to him any day.

Bears 13 at Rams 31

The Rams have the better team on both sides of the ball, and that will be glaring on Sunday.

Cowboys 21 at Buccaneers 18

The Cowboys six game losing streak clearly shows Tony Romo’s value to the team, but they can’t continue to lose close games right? I like Matt Cassel to stop throwing interceptions and the Cowboys control the clock with the run game in another tightly contested battle against an up-and-coming Bucs team.

Panthers 35 at Titans 10

I pick the Panthers to lose every week and that clearly has not worked out for me. Panthers win big to spite myself.

Saints 45 at Washington 28

No one knows what either of these teams is going to do at any given time. The Saints have found a good rhythm on offense, and Drew Brees is on fire lately. Saints win a high scoring affair.

Vikings 17 at Raiders 21

Before the season, not many people expected this to be a game with significant playoff implications for both teams. In a battle of young and talented QBs, I like Carr to outperform Bridgewater as the Raiders stay afloat in the AFC Wild Card race.

Chiefs 14 at Broncos 31

Last time these teams played, the Broncos needed a shocking fourth-quarter comeback. That will not be the case this week as the Broncos win with ease.

Patriots 38 at Giants 17

The Giants have a knack for beating the Patriots when no one thinks they will, but this Patriots offense just has too many weapons for Tom Brady to play with, and this Giants defense just doesn’t have the secondary to stop them. Tom Brady will throw for at least 400 yards in this win.

Cardinals 23 at Seahawks 24

This is a huge game for the NFC playoff race. If the Seahawks win, it’s a strong statement that they’re right in the thick of things and a strong contender to get back on top of the conference. If the Cardinals win, the NFC West race is almost over and they have almost locked up the division, maybe. The 12th man will be a huge factor and the reason why the Seahawks win the game.

Texans 30 at Bengals 20

Last year, Brian Hoyer led the Browns to a 24-3 win over the Bengals in prime time. This year, he’ll do the same but in a different uniform. Yes, the Bengals will no longer be unbeaten.
