MFST’s Week 13 NFL Picks
As we close in on the end of the regular season, our pickers are coming down to the wire. Brandon Reid remains in the lead and with less than five weeks to go, his seven-game lead might be enough to finally win a pick’em title.
Current Standings after Week 12
Brandon Reid: 115-59-2
Dan Schalk: 108-66-2
Orlando Torres: 104-70-2
Week 13 NFL Picks
Bears at Giants
Dan Schalk: New York Giants. Chase Daniel? Nope, Eli is going to shock the world.
Brandon Reid: Chicago Bears. Da Bears have it clicking on both sides of the ball right now. Eli might get hurt. His feelings will be anyway.
Orlando Torres: Chicago Bears. Looks like Trubisky will sit out again, but with the Bears defense playing lights out they’ll be okay.
Cardinals at Packers
Dan Schalk: Green Bay Packers. Arizona will barely lose this game, thanks in part to a late game INT from Josh Rosen.
Brandon Reid: Green Bay Packers. Arizona is a bad team. Green Bay is better by an all-time elite QB. And they’re at home. But other than that, the Packers don’t have much going on this year.
Orlando Torres: Green Bay Packers. Rodgers will not carve up the Cards here. We keep expecting that, and for some reason he hasn’t been that player this year. Packers survive a close one here.
Colts at Jaguars
Dan Schalk: Indianapolis Colts. Colts are hot, Jags are not. I trust Andrew Luck and I do not trust Cody Kessler.
Brandon Reid: Jacksonville Jaguars. OK, one more time Jacksonville. Show me the Colts are who I thought they were. I can see this being an energy game where the whole team is sick of losing and rallies around Cody Kessler. Jacksonville is clearly not the better team, but it’s the NFL and upsets happen every week.
Orlando Torres: Indianapolis Colts. Cody Kessler and a banged up Jags defense? Also Fournette is suspended. The year of horrors continue for the Jags.
Browns at Texans
Dan Schalk: Houston Texans. Nick Chubb might score three times, but the Texans will win the game.
Brandon Reid: Houston Texans. Cleveland is rolling. But I’m not sure they are good enough to end Houston’s streak, in Houston. Houston’s defense is also getting back to form. This will be a good game, but I’m playing it safe.
Orlando Torres: Cleveland Browns. Hmm the Texans have been dominating teams lately, but the Browns have also looked good with Baker Mayfield. Could a shocker be on the horizon? I think it’s possible.
Panthers at Buccaneers
Dan Schalk: Carolina Panthers. Both teams are struggling, but I’ll go with the better running game.
Brandon Reid: Carolina Panthers. The Bucs are a mess. From top to bottom. A major shakeup needs to happen this off-season. Big time chemistry issues all through the organization.
Orlando Torres: Carolina Panthers. The playoffs are looking very muddy for the Panthers right now, but Cams able to end that 3 game losing streak against the Bucs.
Bills at Dolphins
Dan Schalk: Miami Dolphins. I do not pick the Bills to win, even if they’re on a heater.
Brandon Reid: Miami Dolphins. Buffalo can’t win three in-a-row. They just beat two really bad teams.
Orlando Torres: Miami Dolphins. Josh Allen is going to be really good down the road, but this season he won’t keep it at a consistent pace.
Broncos at Bengals
Dan Schalk: Cincinnati Bengals. Jeff Driskel is a solid quarterback.
Brandon Reid: Denver Broncos. Everything about Cincinnati scares me right now. Is A.J. Green healthy? Can Jeff Driskel win them games? The Bengals have lost five of their last six, and the wheels appear to be falling off. Not a Denver fan, but it might be hard to lose this game.
Orlando Torres: Cincinnati Bengals. The Bengals have had nothing but bad luck this season. Good thing is that AJ Green will be back to help disrupt opposing defenses. I think the Bengals win a close game.
Ravens at Falcons
Dan Schalk: Atlanta Falcons. I like the Falcons at home against a rookie quarterback.
Brandon Reid: Baltimore Ravens. The Falcons haven’t scored 20 points in a game in a month and have been decimated by injuries. I am tempted to take Atlanta here because they are at home, but Baltimore is the better team.
Orlando Torres: Atlanta Falcons. The Ravens have been on a roll with Jackson under center, but this game is on the turf for the birds, and they get a much-needed win here.
Rams at Lions
Dan Schalk: Los Angeles Rams. Nope, Detroit isn’t slowing down this Rams attack.
Brandon Reid: Los Angeles Rams. Detroit doesn’t have enough on either side of the ball to scare me away from picking the Rams.
Orlando Torres: Los Angeles Rams. Rams coming off a bye? RIP Lions.
Chiefs at Raiders
Dan Schalk: Kansas City Chiefs. Even without Kareem Hunt the Chiefs will win by double-digits.
Brandon Reid: Kansas City Chiefs. Only a monsoon or wildfire will stop the Chiefs from scoring 40 in this game.
Orlando Torres: Kansas City Chiefs. Raiders are about to get steam rolled.
Jets at Titans
Dan Schalk: Tennessee Titans. The Titans defense is good–probably thanks in part to their ‘bonehead ex-linebacker’ coach.
Brandon Reid: Tennessee Titans. I really don’t have much confidence in Tennessee this year. They are so up and down, they are like a roller coaster ride in Dollywood. But they’re playing the Jets, who are averaging 11 points in their last five games.
Orlando Torres: Tennessee Titans. It’s been a roller coaster ride for the Titans this season. I wouldn’t take the Jets lightly, but this is a good match up.
Vikings at Patriots
Dan Schalk: New England Patriots. Brandon picking against Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at home? Thanks for that point, NewBreid.
Brandon Reid: Minnesota Vikings. This may sound strange, but the Vikings have the bigger play potential in this matchup. I am not a believer in the Patriots this year and I know my fellow pickers will never pick the Vikings. One up. Skol, Vikings.
Orlando Torres: New England Patriots. Seems like a shaky matchup for Brady and the Pats. This could get out of hands fast, but I think the Pats play good defense, and run the ball a lot, to keep Brady right.
49ers at Seahawks
Dan Schalk: Seattle Seahawks. I will not be watching this snoozer.
Brandon Reid: Seattle Seahawks. I’m just out on the poor 49ers this year. Just wasn’t meant to be.
Orlando Torres: Seattle Seahawks. No matter how bad Sherman might want this win, the Niners are just too banged up.
Chargers at Steelers
Dan Schalk: Pittsburgh Steelers. I’m all about the Chargers as Brandon says, but I do not like to pick against the Steelers at home—they are a different team, specifically their QB.
Brandon Reid: Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh is just hard to beat at home, in December. Last week was a late season wakeup call. Plus, Dan thinks the Chargers are the best team in the AFC so I know which way he is picking. Point, New Breid.
Orlando Torres: Pittsburgh Steelers. Not having Melvin Gordon will hurt here. The Bolts keep it close, but the Steelers will be too much.
Redskins at Eagles
Dan Schalk: Philadelphia Eagles. Washington may not win another game all season.
Brandon Reid: Philadelphia Eagles. This is just an ugly game I care nothing about. Philly at home.
Orlando Torres: Philadelphia Eagles. It’s going to be a dog fight all the way to the end in this division. Philly needs to win to try to catch Dallas.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/mfsts-week-13-nfl-picks/https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/nfl-Week-13-picks.jpg?fit=696%2C447&ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/nfl-Week-13-picks.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1AFC EastAFC NorthAFC SouthAFC WestNFC EastNFC NorthNFC SouthNFC WestNFLNFL PicksRecent PostsNFL,NFL Picks,Week 13,week 13 nfl picksAs we close in on the end of the regular season, our pickers are coming down to the wire.
