MFST’s Week 9 NFL Picks
Brandon and Dan had another solid week of picks, Dan even climbed back into 2nd place with a 12-2 week. Orlando’s hot streak stalled a bit has he went 8-6.
Current Standings after Week 9 TNF
Brandon Reid: 81-39-2
Dan Schalk: 73-47-2
Orlando Torres: 73-47-2
Week 9 NFL Picks
Falcons at Redskins
Dan Schalk: Atlanta Falcons. The Redskins are the worst 5-2 football team I can remember.
Brandon Reid: Atlanta Falcons. This is a tough one. Washington is gritty, they always are, even when they shouldn’t be on paper. Atlanta is about to have to take their show on the road quite a bit. This is a legit test for them, but I believe they are they better football team, by at least one tier.
Orlando Torres: Atlanta Falcons. Washington has been grinding out games, but I like Atlanta’s chances to come in as the more dominant team after a bye.
Lions at Vikings
Dan Schalk: Minnesota Vikings. I don’t understand the Lions and their thought process for trading Golden Tate–hope they are happy with more L’s this season.
Brandon Reid: Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings seem to be out of their early season funk. The truth is New Orleans is just a better football team. Losing Golden Tate at the trade deadline can’t make Stafford very happy. I got SKOL at home.
Orlando Torres: Minnesota Vikings. No Golden Tate here, so we’ll see who steps up for Detroit. Adam Thielen is also looking to make history, surpassing Megatron for the most consecutive 100-yard games.
Steelers at Ravens
Dan Schalk: Pittsburgh Steelers. A close game no doubt–I just trust the Steelers offense to put points on the board.
Brandon Reid: Baltimore Ravens. This is definitely a black and blue type of game. I said last week that the Ravens are a dynamic team that spreads the ball around. They have a legit defense that ranks number one in the NFL right now. I got the home team.
Orlando Torres: Pittsburgh Steelers. These games are always low scoring and full of hard hits. Don’t expect anything different this time. Steelers squeeze out a long defensive game.
Chiefs at Browns
Dan Schalk: Kansas City Chiefs. Next.
Brandon Reid: Kansas City Chiefs. The Browns have no chance of slowing down, or keeping up with the Chiefs offense.
Orlando Torres: Kansas City Chiefs. Cleveland cleaned house over the weekend, but a turnaround like this isn’t good enough to stop a dangerous team like the Chiefs.
Jets at Dolphins
Dan Schalk: Miami Dolphins. I don’t know and I don’t care.
Brandon Reid: Miami Dolphins. Sam Darnold is just an OK quarterback, especially this year. All of his receivers are banged up too. Miami is good enough to take care of business at home.
Orlando Torres: New York Jets. The Dolphins looked competitive early on, and with the Jets you never know which version you’re going to get. I also think Crowell has a good game here.
Bears at Bills
Dan Schalk: Chicago Bears. Is this really a question?
Brandon Reid: Chicago Bears. I know they call it New Era Field, but it’s still same old Buffalo. Chicago has the better defense, and Trubisky is really coming into his own. Anthony Miller scores again. #GoTigersGo
Orlando Torres: Chicago Bears. The Bills are just playing for draft picks at this point.
Buccaneers at Panthers
Dan Schalk: Carolina Panthers. The Bucs can’t stop anyone and Fitz is not a savior.
Brandon Reid: Carolina Panthers. The Bucs are a mess. They don’t know who to play at QB, they have no run game, and DeSean Jackson wants out. Panthers are big favorites at home.
Orlando Torres: Carolina Panthers. Will we see Fitzmagic this week? Possibly, but the Panthers are too good of a team for this up and down Bucs team.
Chargers at Seahawks
Dan Schalk: LA Chargers. You know who is my first half MVP is? Philip Rivers. Something is different about him and the entire Chargers team. In year’s past, this is the type of game they lose. Not this year.
Brandon Reid: Seattle Seahawks. I think the Seahawks can match the Chargers pace-for-pace in this game. The Chargers come in banged up with no Bosa and a questionable Melvin Gordon. Seattle is no easy, fun place to play, especially in a loud, wet game. I got the home team.
Orlando Torres: Seattle Seahawks. When you look at least season it was around this time when the Chargers turned things around, but they’re coming in to face a Seahawks team that’s finding more balance as the season goes.
Texans at Broncos
Dan Schalk: Houston Texans. Blowout game. Houston by 25 points.
Brandon Reid: Houston Texans. The Texans have been rolling lately, and now add Demaryius Thomas to the mix. This team should get better as the season goes on. I have said several times this year already, if not for Von Miller, the Broncos wouldn’t win but 4 or 5 games.
Orlando Torres: Denver Broncos. The Texans are coming in hot. But this comes down to the Texans offensive line vs the Denver defense. I think the Broncos hold down the fort.
Rams at Saints
Dan Schalk: LA Rams. Defense will be the deciding factor. The Rams are plain and simple better defensively. My fantasy team is littered with Saints, I just don’t think they win this game.
Brandon Reid: New Orleans Saints. This is the showdown of the week. I think it’s the week the Rams finally go down. New Orleans is tough to deal with, especially now that Ingram is back. This could be an NFC title game preview, and at that time, I would pick the Rams. But not this week.
Orlando Torres: New Orleans Saints. Two dynamic offense going head-to-head this week. The Rams escaped the Packers last week, but this week on the road against New Orleans, I’ve got the Saints handing the Rams their first loss of the season.
Packers at Patriots
Dan Schalk: New England Patriots. Tom Brady is better than Aaron Rodgers and the Patriots are better than the Packers.
Brandon Reid: New England Patriots. I was really surprised the Packers were able to play with the Rams last week. I still think Rodgers line is going to get him hurt this year. I just can’t pick the Packers to beat the Patriots on the road.
Orlando Torres: Green Bay Packers. If you love offense and QB’s then this is going to be a treat to watch. This is only the second meeting between these two quarterbacks, but after the blunder last week, I’ve got Rodgers over Brady on Sunday.
Titans at Cowboys
Dan Schalk: Dallas Cowboys. Put Marcus Mariota on the Cowboys and I would still pick them to win. Both defenses are great, but the Cowboys have an elite unit that is vastly underrated. If Tony Romo was at quarterback this team would be undefeated and Super Bowl favorites.
Brandon Reid: Dallas Cowboys. I wish I could start two kickers in my fantasy lineup. So fitting these teams are playing this year because there is a lot of similarities, especially at the QB position. If not for Zeke Elliott, the Cowboys offense would be as bad as the Titans.
Orlando Torres: Dallas Cowboys. This will be our first look at Amari Cooper with the star on his helmet. Still temper expectations. We don’t know if Dak is capable of forcing defense to respect the pass. Regardless, at home Dallas will be run heavy.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/mfsts-week-9-nfl-picks-2/https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Week-9-nfl.jpg?fit=696%2C447&ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Week-9-nfl.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1AFC EastAFC NorthAFC SouthAFC WestNFC EastNFC NorthNFC SouthNFC WestNFLNFL PicksRecent PostsNFL,NFL Picks, week 9 nfl picksBrandon and Dan had another solid week of picks, Dan even climbed back into 2nd place with a 12-2 week.
