In a game between the Browns and Ravens, looking back from one week before, the Monday Night matchup looked intriguing as the game would feature Joe Flacco and an offense who is trusting each other more every week. With Kamar Aiken evolving and Johnny Manziel coming off a 372 yard performance against the Steelers. But that all changed when Flacco’s season was over when after he tore his anterior cruciate and medical collateral ligaments in Week 12’s 16-13 victory. Then with Johnny Manziel being benched and demoted to 3rd string as he was seen on video partying with a bottle in his hand during their bye week. Manziel again showed his immaturity and the Browns were quick to punish the young QB.

1st Quarter:
The first score of the game came by Baltimore just over five minutes into the game on an 82-yard punt return by Kaelin Clay.
The Ravens would strike again with 4:22 remaining, as Justin Tucker hit a 49-yard Field Goal as they take a 10-0 lead.

The Browns finally got on the scoreboard as kicker Travis Coons made a 31 yard field goal 4 minutes into the 2nd Qtr as the Browns trailed 10-3.
The Ravens didn’t take long to hit back as they quickly scored in less than 2 minutes. As Javorius Allen and Matt Schaub connected for a 13-yard Touchdown. And the Ravens take a 17-3 lead.
With 4:36 remaining, Josh McCown threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Marion Moore
as the Browns cut the lead 17-10.
With the 2nd quarter winding down, Josh McCown got the Browns into field goal range. This led to a 21-yard field goal by kicker Travis Coon with three seconds remaining in the half. The Ravens head into the Half with a 17-13 lead.
3rd Quarter:
With 12:16 remaining in the 3rd Quarter, Matt Schaub made his first mistake throwing an interception that was brought back for a touchdown. It was a 52-yard interception return by Karlos Dansby as the Browns took a 20-17 lead.
The Browns weren’t up for long, as with 5:30 remaining, Matt Schaub redeemed himself when he threw a 15-yard pass to Kamar Aiken. As the Ravens took the lead back, 24-20
4th Quarter:

With 9:05 remaining in the 4th quarter, Justin Tucker hit a 35-yard Field Goal, as the Ravens extended their leas to 27-20.
In the 4th, McCown went down with shoulder pain as he was replaced by Austin Davis rather than Johnny Manziel.
Austin Davis Throws a 42-yard pass to Travis Benjamin up the field with 1:47 remaining to tie the ball game at 27.
With :03 remaining, the Browns were in position to win the game as they were set to kick a 51-yard Field Goal. Travis Coon, whose longest FG kick is a 44-yard Field Goal was set to make the kick. Ball snapped, the kick was off and the ball was blocked by Brent Urban and returned by Will Hill for 64-yards to win the game as time expired 33-27.
Final: Ravens 33, Browns 27
The Ravens and Browns exchanged turnover on downs, in the 4th quarter under 1:47 as well as a critical pass interception thrown by Matt Schaub with 50 seconds remaining. Austin Davis struggled after completing the touchdown to Benjamin. As many, myself included had thoughts about Manziel,
“Put Johnny Manziel in”
…”Where’s Johnny”?
The Browns stuck to their word, and kept Johnny Manziel on the bench disciplining him for his bye week actions. Manziel who has struggled on and off the field since being drafted 22nd overall was demoted as the 3rd string Quarterback after being named the starting Quarterback for the for the remainder of the season. In the 4th quarter after replacing McCown, Davis completed 7 of 10 passes for 77 yards and a TD.

Brent Urban, making his season debut for the Ravens made quite the stamp on this game blocking a 51-yard potential game winning field goal for the Browns. Will Hill picked up the blocked ball that would have won the game, back for a touchdown and won the game for the Ravens 33-27.

Would the outcome have been different if Manziel were inserted to the game? No one knows, but it’s sure fun to speculate whether Manziel could have worked his magic from week 12’s performance and brought the Browns to victory.
