My Fantasy Pick’em: Thursday Night Picks [Raiders at Chiefs]
Welcome to our weekly My Fantasy Pick’em where Dan Schalk, Brandon Reid and Orlando Torres pick all of the NFL games straight up. At the end of the season we will crown one champion of all champions. You can check all three out on the My Fantasy Podcast airing weekly here on My Fantasy Sports Talk.
One week after losing his #TopDog spot, the first time all season, Dan came back with a vengeance in Week 13 going 11-4 to regain the 1st place lead with four weeks to play. Brandon had a week to forget going 8-7 to fall two games behind Dan for the coveted top spot. Orlando had a solid week with 10 correct picks with five losses. Here are the updated standing through 13 full weeks…
Dan Schalk: 116-73-2
Brandon Reid: 114-75-2
Orlando Torres: 108-81-2
Thursday Night Picks
Oakland Raiders (10-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (9-3)
Dan Schalk: Kansas City Chiefs. Man, I pick against the Chiefs a lot and they always find a way to win. Their defense is for real and the time is now for us to take Alex Smith seriously. I not only think the Chiefs will win this game, but the division as well. Oh, and they are the only team in the AFC not named the Patriots that can go to the Super Bowl in my eyes.
Brandon Reid: Kansas City Chiefs. I picked against the Raiders last week and I may have been one week early. The Chiefs have a great shot to win this game and become top dog in the AFC West. Here are three encouraging facts if your Raider fans about the last meeting… 1) It was pouring the whole game in Oakland last time they met. 2) Latavius Murray did not play in that game. 3) Dontari Poe got a rushing TD. The Chiefs could have the Raiders number, but I watched that first meeting and I think the heavy rain had a lot to do with the outcome. It favored Kansas City. Here is the bad news if you’re Oakland, the low temperature Thursday night is supposed to be 17 degrees! 17 degrees?! Advantage Chiefs.
Orlando Torres: Kansas City Chiefs. Both the Raiders and Chiefs are two of the better teams in the NFL right now which sets up this Thursday night showdown. Oakland on the road though at Arrowhead I’m going to take the Chiefs in this highly competitive game.
