My opinion on Suicide Squad, Jared’s Joker and Joker’s spinoff
I just came home from seeing Suicide Squad at my local theater. I was disappointed that only eleven people were in attendance for the 6:30 pm first 3D showing. But it was a weeknight.
I was never really into comics but did read Batman growing up. From an early age I felt drawn to the joker. When I found out my favorite actor Jared Leto was set to star as my favorite villain, I decided come hell or high-water, I was going to the premiere.
I was the first ticket sold and the first one through the door. Unfortunately, outside the theater was tight and didn’t provide some of the promotional merchandise the other cooler theaters did. I came close to stampeding the attendant so I could get the best seat.
I had heard about what critics were saying about the movie and clearly they didn’t see the same movie I did. All the actors performed very well with their roles. I would like to see the critics try to shoot in front of the camera, stay in character, remember fight choreography, and say your lines. We fans are the ones that spend the dollars, so we decide what we want to see NOT YOU!
Jared did really well, the only downside was I wanted to see more of the Joker. I was never afraid of Jared until I saw his Joker. If Batman was real, I wanted him beside me when I was watching Jared. I loved the growl, the voice changes, but for some reason the head twitch was my undoing. Yet at the same time he was scaring me, I thought man I wish he was my boyfriend. Yeah i have a screw loose. I hope all my readers go out this weekend to see Suicide Squad it doesn’t disappoint.
Now onto the next part of this article— what would I like to see happen in a Joker spin-off. I have outlined them below.
- I would like to see Amanda Waller’s boss be the bad guy that killed off Jokers wife and unborn child.
- Have the Joker and Batman duke it out over who gets to fight this bad guy.
- Love triangle between Batboy, Harley and the Joker.
- Lastly, I somehow wish the Joker’s wife and child were still alive and brought back into the picture.
Let me know what you thought of Suicide Squad in the comments below…
