It’s hard to believe Nate Robinson has been in the NBA for 10 seasons, playing for seven different teams during that span. Entering his eleventh season, the 5’9 point guard has yet to find a home with a NBA team to start the year, forcing him to look at different options.

One of those options is heading overseas to play for the Sichuan Blue Whales in China, who reportedly have offered him a contract. This could be a smart move for Robinson who has struggled to stick with a NBA team for some time now.

After tearing his ACL while on the Nuggets two years ago, he was used as a useless piece in a trade to the Celtics mid-season, and was subsequently waived. He signed a couple of 10-day contract with the Clippers but did not last. His game fits the Chinese style as a volume scorer who could make a pretty penny in endorsements over there, similar to what Stephon Marbury has done. Robinson was a joy to watch on the court, but his “ball-hog” approach does not sit well with many NBA franchises.
