National Rugby League (NRL) Season 2018
A violent yet entertaining and exciting game, rugby is one of Australia’s most watched and favorite sports. People of all ages and genders get hyped up and excited each year as the annual National Rugby League (NRL) season approaches.
Similarly, this year’s season is already in full swing and on its way towards the finals. You can see people getting excited when their favorite team or players are out in the fields to give their best and have an exciting game.
Considering that rugby is Australia’s favorite game to watch, play and for punters to place bets on, all eyes are set on the matches that are happening at this moment. With the surprising results of last year’s season and the performance of some teams, there were many odds and predictions made for this year as well.
Up until now, there have been some surprising and some unsurprising results. We have rounded up some of the teams’ performance for this season to give you an idea on who to bet on.
While the loss of Jordan McLean and Tohu Harris from the Melbourne Strom might hurt their performance a little bit, you can still expect a reliable performance from them. This is proven from their past performance that landed them in the 4th position of the top ten every year since 2006. You can place your bets on their performance for this year on online platforms like Blue Bet.
Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles
The word ‘surprising’ fits perfectly with how the Eagles performed last season. Now often referred to as an unlikely success story, they certainly added much-needed value to the team with Akuila Uate and Brian Kelly. While this performance was a pleasant surprise, their current performance doesn’t make any huge promises.
The addition of Aiden Guerra and Jacob Lillyman might have added a much-needed experience to the team and it might just give them the push to reach the final 8. You might see this as a dramatic rise, but no certain assumptions can be formed at the moment.
North Queensland Cowboys
With Thurston and Scott fit gain, there is certainly an improvement in the team’s performance but the current win-loss statistics can take them either way. During Thurston’s absence, we saw a star rise out of Michael Morgan, who with the addition of McLean, has definitely made the season more interesting.
The Sydney Roosters are a betting favorite, given their previous performance and the arrival of Cooper Cronk. Even though they were able to secure 17 wins in the last season, their performance was not convincing. But this season might just be the opposite as many predict for them to secure the second position.
Brisbane Broncos’ performance last season was compelling enough to land them in the finals. Predictions made before the season by observing their preparations started suggested a place in the top four; however, what will happen this year is still under scrutiny.
Eels exceeded expectations as they made their way to the finals last season, but only to falter under a humiliating loss. While Jarryd Hayne’s return might prove beneficial for the team, their performance is under question for this season.
With half of the season still left, you can’t make your betting decisions based on these few facts. Do your research and pay attention to more recent games and figure out if the predictions will hold up or are we in for a surprise.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/national-rugby-league-nrl-season-2018/https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/download.png?fit=225%2C225&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/download.png?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1Recent PostsNational Rugby League,NRL,RugbyA violent yet entertaining and exciting game, rugby is one of Australia’s most watched and favorite sports.
