NBA Players of the Week Revealed
DeMarcus Cousins and Kemba Walker were named NBA players of the week as both players were on absolute tears, putting up monster numbers for their respective teams during the week.
DeMarcus Cosuins, Sacramento Kings
Cousins led the Kings to a 3-0 record while averaging 36 points, which was best in the NBA this week, while also grabbing 14.7 rebounds, which was good for second in the NBA. Cousins also recorded a career night, posting 48 points and grabbing 13 rebounds in a win over the Pacers. With his performances, Cousins’ became the first King to score 108 points while collecting 44 rebounds in a three game span, dating back to the 1961-62 when Oscar Robertson did so himself (109 points, 44 rebounds). Cousins recorded a double-double in each of the three games, marking 25 total point-rebound double-doubles for the season.

Kemba Walker, Charlotte Hornets
Walker helped propel the Hornets to a 3-1 record, averaging 34.8 points which led the Eastern Conference, as well as dishing out 6 assists, grabbing 6 rebounds and 2.25 steals in that span. Walker also poured in a career high 52 points, to go along with 9 rebounds and 8 assists just falling short of a triple double in the 2-OT win against the Jazz. Walker became just the fourth player this season to score 50+ points and four days later, became just the third to score 50 and 40 points in the same week, after hanging 40 points in a win against the Magic.
