NBA Preview and Predictions 11/11
Clippers vs. Mavericks
It is finally here! DeAndre Jordan comes to Dallas, the town whose hopes he got up… then cut them down! The Clippers look to continue their strong start against the 3-4 Mavericks.
Of all teams that are having a great start, the Clippers have probably received the least recognition. They are 5-2, and have come the closest of anyone so far to beating the Warriors. Blake Griffin is being overshadowed by the likes of Curry and Westbrook, but he has almost 29 points per game and 10 rebounds. He is shooting 58% from the field, and that is not all dunks. His jump shot from inside 20 feet is deadly right now. The question tonight is whether anyone on the Mavericks can slow him down.
The Mavericks have lost 3 of their last 4 games. Including giving the Pelicans their first win. The struggle of missing out on free agents seems to be catching up with them early on. That, coupled with a banged up roster, does not bode well for this Dallas squad. They can only hope that their fans presumable hatred for DeAndre Jordan will give them a bigger home court advantage.
My Prediction: It wouldn’t be a surprise if the Clippers look to get Jordan involved even more offensively than usual tonight. With an older roster the Mavericks will struggle against the power that Jordan and Griffin bring.

Warriors vs. Grizzlies
Golden State heads to Memphis looking to match the best start in franchise history. Memphis looks to avenge the 50-point loss they suffered the last time these two met.
The Warriors have made a mockery of almost every opponent this season, especially the Grizzlies. By now you may have heard that Steph Curry is in a slump, since he has scored 24 and 22 points the last two games. There are players who wish that was being in a slump for them. Klay Thompson is starting to look more and more like the other splash brother he was last year, and that should worry the NBA, especially the Grizzlies tonight.
The Grizzlies have lost three straight games and have also been the mockery of twitter posts (#didntloseby50). They almost beat the Clippers in their last game, but a late run buried those hopes. They will need an even better performance if they want to have a chance tonight. They have only scored over 100 points three times, whereas the Warriors have scored 103 or more points in all eight games so far.
My Prediction: Golden State is on a mission and the Grizzlies will fall victim to that mission for the second time. The bright note is that it will not be by 50.
