Negan Cometh Season 7 TWD
A countdown that began in April is now slowly reaching its climactic finish with only one more day to wait for the premier of Season 7 of The Walking Dead; I can guarantee that a lot if not all of the fans are frantically biting their nails in anticipation for this episode. I myself included amongst them, I even forced my dear mother to watch all six seasons in less than a month and have bombarded her with typical fan girl questions of who she thinks will meet Lucille and why, alas, I was only ever greeted with the typical response of, “I don’t know and I’m not particularly bothered.” I’m sure it wasn’t said quite as polite as that though.
With hardly any leakage of spoilers this season and the entire cast whom were in Negans line up seen filming at some point or another, it soon became a massive never-ending conversation amongst fans, all of whom became conspiracy theorists trying to deduce who met their grizzly end. I’m joking, sort of; I definitely didn’t purchase a white board and scribble my never ending theories down upon it… Honest!
Yet, in true AMC fashion a sneak peek was released, a short clip of the aftermath of the death, in it lay no clues on whom died but it did set the tone for the episode and how potentially evil Negan could be, if you haven’t read the comics and only ever watch the show then you are in for a surprise and a world of fun, sort of. Rick is left obviously visibly shaking after witnessing the death of a close friend and promises Negan, in true Rick fashion that he will meet his end and by Ricks own hands. However, I’m pretty sure our charming foul mouthed rogue isn’t one for threats and as much as he laughs it off it clearly has tinged a little bit, since he decides to drag the leader of the survivors into the RV. Now, I know a lot of fans of the comic books know that Rick lost a hand to the Governor but since that didn’t happen in the TV show a lot of them are wondering if it will happen now.
There is a potential for anything to happen this season and episode, I for one have seen the “spoilers” that have supposedly been leaked but I’m going to remain open about the episode until I have seen it for myself.
At the end of the sneak peek the camera pans down to the floor to reveal a right bloody mess. Literally, this has been our first view of the victim all that was visible was skull matter, nothing gave anything away as to whom it was but we all had a good try at deciphering it anyway. All in all, I know that this episode will hit a lot of fans hard as certainly someone’s favourite character will be dead. I can just say thank god I have a dangerous love of psychopaths and my beloved Negan is safe.
Happy Walking Dead Day to all and to all a not so good night!
