NFL 2015 Fantasy Football Top 5 Tight End Beasts

1. Rob Gronkowski – New England Patriots

USA Today Sports

When it comes to the tight end position ‘Gronk’ is the king of kings. He dominates the red zone with his massive frame, racking up loads of touchdowns, and he’s also the TE most likely to break off for a huge gain. He led all players at his position with 19 catches of 20+ yards in 2014. Gronkowski will be fully healthy to begin this season, something that wasn’t the case last year, and ready to continue his supremacy as the leagues best tight end.
2. Jimmy Graham – Seattle Seahawks

USA Today Sports

Besides ‘Gronk’, Graham is the only other player within the position that could make a viable claim to being the best. Each of the past four seasons Graham has caught 85 or more passes and had nine or more touchdowns. It’s likely that he won’t get the same amount of usage after leaving New Orleans and going to Seattle, but he should still have outstanding levels of production.

3. Greg Olsen – Carolina Panthers

Associated Press

Olsen was elected to his first pro-bowl appearance last season, and he earned it. Totaling over 1,000 receiving yards he had the best year of his career and has settled in as one of Cam Newton’s favorite weapons. Olsen has increased his number of receptions in each of the last five seasons. He should continue to produce at a high level for quite some time, while still in the prime years of this playing career.

4. Antonio Gates – San Diego Chargers

Gates has been one of the most consistent producers out of all NFL tight ends. Fro more than a decade now he has been one of the leagues most dependable offensive weapons. At this point he’s probably reaching the twilight of his career, but that doesn’t mean you can’t count on another solid season of production. He hasn’t shown any signs indicating a severe drop off or decline in playing ability is imminent.
5. Martellus Bennett – Chicago Bears

USA Today Sports

Bennett had a breakout year last season. 2013 was solid, but 2014 was a pro-bowl caliber performance. Last year Bennett established himself as one of the top receiving tight ends in the NFL. As long as he keeps getting targets he’ll turn in another fantastic season of high level production.
