We are recycling our ‘celebrity pickers’ as Casey Birch is back to redeem himself after a difficult set of Week 3 games…
Bills (5-2) at Jets (3-5)
Dan Schalk: New York Jets. Some may say I’m a “Bills Hater” but over their 17-year playoff drought we have seen the Bills start strong only to fade midway through the season. This is the type of game those ‘old’ Bills would lose…I’m not yet convinced this year’s team is different from the rest.
Brandon Reid: New York Jets. I know the Jets have lost three in-a-row, but they have been one possession losses to good teams. I think the Jets can control this game with McCown playing under control and Robby Anderson making a name for himself. Austin Seferian-Jenkins is a beast at tight end and they have a trio of solid guys at running back. It’s Thursday night and it’s the Bills and Jets, two of the most surprising teams this year. In short… I have no idea.
Orlando Torres: Buffalo Bills. The Bills continue to surprise people, but I am sold. The clown show that Rex Ryan provided is over, and the Bills actually have a chance to tie for first in the AFC East on Thursday night.
Casey Birch (Celebrity Picker): Buffalo Bills. Given the Bills history, I wouldn’t be surprised if they blew this game. Fortunately, I base picks on logic, not superstition. The Bills have shown that their defense is a force to be reckoned with and Josh McCown is no stranger to throwing interceptions. The Jets haven’t looked as terrible as everyone predicted going into the season, but they are still a team devoid of talented players. I expect that the game will be close, but the Bills should be able to pull this one out on the road and advance to 6-2.
