NFL Week 4 Thursday Night Picks
Welcome to our weekly NFL Pick’em. The hosts of the My Fantasy Podcast (Dan, Brandon and Orlando) pick every game straight up and crown one champion of all champions at the end of the season.
A dreadful week of picks last weekend did not see a single “picker” get above .500–here are the updated standings after Week 3.
Standings after Week 3
Dan Schalk: 27-20
Brandon Reid: 28-19
Orlando Torres: 25-22
Our “Celebrity Picker” from last week stands atop the “celebrity” standings, mainly because he’s been the only to submit picks so far–that should change this week…
Celebrity Picker Standings
Casey Birch (Week 3): 6-10
Our Week 4 “celebrity picker” is no other than our resident soccer expert Dillon Davis-Tirado–let’s see how he handles American Football picks…
Thursday Night Picks
Chicago Bears (1-2) at Green Bay Packers (2-1)
Dan Schalk: Green Bay Packers. The Bears should really be 2-1 through three weeks, but despite the fact they look like much more than a cellar-dweller, they won’t have enough offensive firepower to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and company.
Brandon Reid: Green Bay Packers. The Bears secret to a 1-2 record so far has been running the ball and defense. Both of those strengths, if you want to call it that, will be tested against Green Bay. Aaron Rodgers shouldn’t have an issue carving up the D, and the Bears will be trailing enough to somewhat abandon the run game. I’ll take the Pack in Lambeau.
Orlando Torres: Green Bay Packers. The Bears are quite the fighters at home, and watching Jordan Howard play with emotions and guts was encouraging, however, on a short week I’m going with the Packers here. I don’t know if this game will match he intensity and excitement of last weeks game, but I can’t see the Bears gutting this out on a short week.
Dillon Davis-Tirado (Celebrity Picker): Green Bay Packers. Even though both teams have less time to get ready, I feel Green Bay has a bigger edge over the Bears–When it comes to personnel the Packers have more firepower.
