How will Swaggy P and the Black Mamba mesh on the court together?

Get ready Lakers fans–Swaggy P should be making his season debut early next week.  Young told Mike Trudell of Lakers.com that he is anticipating a return to the court Tuesday (Nov. 18th) against the Atlanta Hawks.

So what does this mean for Young’s fantasy value? Well, coming off of the best season in his seven year career, it is easy to think Swaggy P could duplicate his 2013-14 numbers.  Young averaged 17.9 PPG, 2.6 RPG, 1.5 APG playing heavy minutes for a non competitive Lakers team last year.  This season the Lakers are just as bad, meaning Young should be in line for a lot of minutes yet again.

With Kobe Bryant averaging 25 shots per game, Young might be forced to take a back seat as the go to scorer this season on the Lakers, but I would not be shocked if Swaggy P tries to out shoot Kobe in games.  That volume, while it will not help your FG% in fantasy leagues–it gives you a quality fantasy scorer.  It may take some games for Nick Young to shake the rust off, but once he does he should be owned in standard fantasy leagues.
