Joe HadenWell definitely no longer in Cleveland that’s for sure. In shocking, but not so shocking news this morning the Browns announced that they finally cut ties with the 28-year-old former pro-bowl corner Joe Haden. The shocking part to the breaking news was that several rumors were spread stating that Haden would be traded rather than cut.

Since 2014, after signing a six-year contract worth over $74 million dollars he’s only appeared in 18 games, and has struggled to be that dangerous cornerback that got him selected in the first-round of the 2010 draft. Despite grabbing three interceptions and breaking up three passes in that time he was no longer feared on the field.

It won’t be much longer before Haden finds a new home though. The Cowboys, Saints, Colts and Steelers have already expressed interest in the free agent, and surely the eyebrows over other teams will also be raised when seeing Haden’s name for the taking. Joe Haden responded on his Instagram account thanking the organization and fans for his time in Cleveland, but it is a business after all, and with that said Haden will not be subject of the waiver wire, but can start planning trips to different organizations after 4 P.M. ET. later today.
