Premier League

For those of you preparing for the Premier League season, it’s time to start-up the fantasy crusade. Here are a few match-ups to keep an eye on as you pick your players.

  1. Hull City vs. Leicester City: With Leicester away, consider carefully putting Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez in your lineups. Leicester did show they could break the defense of a top club like Manchester United, so Hull shouldn’t be too much trouble for the duo. Granted, we don’t really know what this club is yet, and whether they can defend their Premier League title. This was a near relegation club two years ago so let’s hope this title team can break the lower clubs easily.
  2. Manchester City vs. Sunderland: Pep’s boys are out to tackle the table and they’ll get a chance to feast on Sunderland day one. Have at least 2-3 City players and Joe Hart on your team if you have him in your lineup this weekend.
  3. Manchester United vs. AFC Bournemouth: Jose Mourinho’s team is going to have a field day against Bournemouth. Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Anthony Martial, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba, even Wayne Rooney can have great chances to set up goals and sweep their opponent before halftime. Have at least two of the names mentioned in your lineup this weekend.
  4. AVOID Arsenal vs. Liverpool and Chelsea vs. West Ham: These match-ups are hot, and too tightly contested for players to dominate both sides, expect draws in these games and remember that these teams are all unproven in what their team’s winning capability is. Near equals among all four, consider carefully the opponent of the player you want to place in your team.

That’s all for this weekend everyone, enjoy and we’ll see you next week.
