Premier League Fantasy Week 4
The Premier League will return to action this weekend, so let’s take a look at some key fantasy match-ups:
The Manchester Derby: Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will face off in what is sure to be an explosive match for Manchester United and Manchester City. The only question mark is what Guardiola will do about the striker position. Sergio Aguero was suspended for 3 games by the F.A for misconduct during City’s previous match against West Ham. Players to consider replacing him include Raheem Sterling, Nolito, and Kelechi Iheanacheo so consider using them in your lineups if you have them. For Manchester United, there are no restrictions other than injured Marouane Fellaini, so take advantage of the Aguero-less City team and have the Manchester United defense part of your squad. No need to say more about the attackers, have them and the midfield in your lineups this weekend.
Arsenal vs. Southampton: Arsenal finally came up with a win in their last fixture so there shouldn’t be any concerns deploying attackers as deep as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in your lineups. Avoid the defense for now even including goalkeeper Petr Cech. The following players may not play this weekend but here’s a look at Arsenal’s two new signings. Despite signing Shkodran Mustafi from Valencia C.F, he isn’t the sure thing until we see him adjust to Premier League football. On a side note, if you have Lucas Perez, the risk is yours but let him also have a few games to settle the matter.
AVOID Liverpool vs. Leicester City: These two teams are just too inconsistent to believe one will dominate the other. Expect a draw, but if tempted stick to Philippe Coutinho for Liverpool and Jamie Vardy for Leicester for options in attacking. Avoid both defenses at all costs.
Swansea City vs. Chelsea: Boss Antonio Conte has been superb for Chelsea. The team seems to be climbing out of their 14th place drought finish from last season. They look to be entering the Premier League title race but there’s no reason to get over excited. For this Sunday matchup, stick to Eden Hazard, Willian, and Diego Costa as top attackers for your team. The Chelsea defense should fare well against Swansea so consider having John Terry in your lineup as a suggestion or the new signing David Luiz if he plays this weekend.
Good luck this weekend and enjoy the games!
