Premier League Predictions: 5-1
At last! We’re at the top five of the table! For the first quarter predictions, hit the link below.
1st Quarter Prediction: 4th
The Spurs are for sure a stride slower than last season. There’s no doubt they’ll finish Top 5 but there’s no chance they can maintain a Top 4 finish. The Spurs aren’t known for engaging heavy in the transfer window. But even so, transfer help is needed to secure 5th place. They’re a great team on paper, but they haven’t put long strings of wins together.
1st Quarter Prediction: 5th
Arsene Wenger manages to keep his job, and no one truly knows how. He’s suffered some hard losses and bad results where wins ended up as draws. Wenger doesn’t have the team to win a title despite going into the transfer market harder than normal. That said, a Top 4 finish and a chance to be in Champions League again is a good target for the club. Let’s hope Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez aren’t going to stir up the transfer market trying to leave.
1st Quarter Prediction: 3rd
This is where the table is starting to set. Chelsea have been great this year but with the run Manchester City have, and the form Manchester United is in, it’ll be hard for Chelsea to make a run at the title. With Champions League coming up, the January transfer window will be a chance for Chelsea to move and add players to give them a chance at the final. When it comes to the Premier League, third is a great finish for the defending champions.
2. Manchester United
1st Quarter Prediction: 2nd
United have been trying their best to keep up with their noisy neighbors, but it just isn’t enough. Regardless if City have an invincible season, the gap is so far United can’t afford to draw games at this point. They will be big players in the transfer window, as manager Jose Mourinho will be looking to make drastic changes to get United on a good long winning streak to try and close the gap. However, despite everything, United aren’t a team that could maintain a first place run this year.
1. Manchester City
1st Quarter Prediction: 1st
There’s no doubt Manchester City will be champions at the end of the campaign. Regardless of their performances in the other cup competitions, manager Pep Guardiola will focus on making sure City bring the trophy home. They’re going for the invincible season, and with a team that has high scoring ability for all 90 minutes, they should have no problem accomplishing this.
