Here’s a few highlights from Week 3 of the Premier League:

Arsenal and Leicester City get their first wins: It’s very odd that last season Top 2 teams earn their first victories after three games. Leicester defeated Swansea City 2-1 with goals coming from striker Jamie Vardy and defender Wes Morgan. Vardy’s goal was his first of the season. Arsenal defeated Watford 3-1 in a very convincing performance to put some confidence back in the teams. Goals came from midfielders Santi Cazorla and Mesut Ozil, and attacker Alexis Sanchez. Both teams still have much to prove but hopefully these wins will carry momentum into their next games.

Marcus Rashford with a late winner for Manchester United: In what was looking like a draw for Hull City, turned into heartbreak for the club. Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford scored a 90+ minute winner to seal three points for the club. It has convinced many fans and analysts that United have returned to their winning ways compared to the Sir Alex Ferguson era. Rashford is a product of the youth academy, coming into the team last season under former boss Louis Van Gaal. Rashford had stellar performances in the Europa League and Premier League to become a starter during the last leg of the season. United look very set in their team as they go into their next fixture perfect for the first time since 2011.

The Premier League is off for the upcoming weekend for international games and will resume on Saturday September 10th.
