Let’s recap a couple of games from last weekend’s Premier League action:Premier League

Joe Allen spoils Manchester United victory: Stoke City midfielder Joe Allen grew up a Manchester United fan. It was poetic that it was his goal late in the second half that spoiled   a victory for Jose Mourinho and Co. to have United walk out of Old Trafford with a draw. Anthony Martial put in a stunning goal to make it 1-0 midway through the second half. Allen’s equalizer came from an error from United goalkeeper David DeGea, who took responsibility. Stoke City will take great pride in the draw in what was a fixture drawn up to go United’s way.

Tottenham ruins Manchester City’s winning streak: This was one of the most anticipated match-ups of the season so far. Between the top two teams in the Premier League table, Manchester City and Tottenham brought their best games to the pitch. To City’s misfortune, the Spurs were able to be more decisive in their finishing, making a 2-0 victory cut City’s lead in the table to just a point.
