The UConn Huskies(7-3) will take on inner-state opponent Central Connecticut State University(1-8) who recently received their first win on the young season against UMass Lowell. The Blue Devils are led by Junior Khalen Cumberlander who is averaging 13.4 PPG, and 3.4 APG.

The Huskies will be led by Junior, Rodney Purvis who has been averaging career highs in points (15.1), rebounds (3.1), assists (2.9), as well as FG% (.50) and 3PtFG% (.44.2). Although Purvis has been hot of late, the Huskies took a tough blow when center Amida Brimah broke his finger during practice and is reportedly to be out 6-8 weeks.

Brimah, the 7-footer was averaging 7.8 PPG, 5.2 RPG and 3.3 BPG being a defensive force in the middle. But without him, the Huskies will look for big men Phillip Nolan and freshman Steven Enoch to step up and try to replace the rim protection and presence of Brimah.

A key player that looks to stay hot and compliment Purvis is sophomore Daniel Hamilton, who is leading the team in rebounds (8.5) and assists (5.4) showing his versatility as a player. This is a good game for Kevin Ollie to test smaller line ups and see what works without their 7-footer as the Huskies are heavily favored. The Huskies will be seeking their 3rd straight win, as they continue to stay near the top of the AAC division and win their 8th game of the season.
