Ranking the remaining 5 Food Network Star contestants
We are through seven episodes of Food Network Star, which means seven contestants have already been sent home. Below we rank the remaining contestants and their odds of taking home the title of the next Food Network Star.
5. Amy Pottinger
Last week’s rank: 5th
Amy has improved drastically from episode one to now, but she continues to have flubs every week—case in point the meltdown she had presenting to Bobby, Giada and Anne Burrell. If she can’t fix this fast, she’ll be the next to go.
4. Matthew Grunwald
Last week’s rank: 4th
Matthew’s “maturation” we saw on Last Chance Kitchen is looking less and less like maturation and more like the same old Matthew’s of previous seasons. Unless he can show more professionalism with the judges and audience, he could be heading back home to Arizona.
3. Cory Bahr
Last week’s rank: 2nd
We didn’t see a lot of Corey on the previous episode due to an illness, but when he came back he was back to his usual southern cooking—and of course, doing it very well. He did however, have a major hiccup putting spicy chili peppers on his team’s dish without even telling them. That ultimately was one of the deciding factors for the team not winning the challenge.
2. Rusty Hamlin
Last week’s rank: 3rd
Rusty’s personality continues to shine through every week and he even showed a softer side while presenting to the judges in the latest episode. If his cooking skills can match his hearty personality, we could see him on the finale.
1. Jason Smith
Last week’s rank: 1st
Lord honey you know it! Jason continues to dominate the show with fantastic cooking and a personality you can’t help but enjoy. I’m a 28-year-old man who isn’t afraid to say I will watch Food Network more with Jason on it. Oh he’s crushing it in the fan vote as well, blowing away the competition–another sign he is America’s choice.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/ranking-the-remaining-5-food-network-star-contestants/https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/PONT_Jason-Smith.jpg.rend_.hgtvcom.966.725.jpeg?fit=967%2C725&ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/PONT_Jason-Smith.jpg.rend_.hgtvcom.966.725.jpeg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1EntertainmentRecent PostsFood Network StarWe are through seven episodes of Food Network Star, which means seven contestants have already been sent home.
