Russell Westbrook: A Mass Delusion And Just Plain Ignorance
Ignorance: Incomprehension of; Unawareness of
Stupid: Showing a great lack of intelligence
If you are a Russell Westbrook fan/defender I can say unequivocally you fall into one or both of the definitions I have listed above.
It’s almost sweet how you defend his indefensible statistics.
Lets go over his stats for this year real quick because I know facts are silly to you…
Here are some of his 2017-2018 season stats; Field Goals: 39% 3-Point Field Goals: 35% Plus/Minus Ratio: -6 Turnovers: 5
He did average 29 points this year. On 27 shots per game average.
Lets talk about you though. You say things like “No, he doesn’t make his teammates better” and “Yes he takes bad shots” and then you always defend him with my favorite, “He’s a great player, he averaged a triple-double!”
My answer to his triple-doubles is and always will be, REBOUNDS AREN’T IMPORTANT TO A POINT GUARD. You know who they are important to? Second string forwards and centers. Those rebounds Russy is grabbing will make a difference come contract time to a guy who gets paid to rebound.
Russell Westbrick is not a Superstar, he’s barely an All-Star. He’s a athletic player who handles the ball all the time, makes poor decisions, and can’t shoot a lick.
I don’t know if Russy will ever get it. If he will let go of whatever is causing him to play with so much anger and just play basketball. He’s fighting a war every time he steps onto the court but he has to learn to first recognize and fight his own battles before he can win the war.
