Scott Chandler Fantasy Sleeper Week 8
Scott Chandler is not a hot commodity as a fantasy tight end, heck he’s only owned in 6% of fantasy leagues, but Chandler has had a fairly decent season, and has flown under the radar even in fan crazed Buffalo.
The 6’7 260 pound tight end won’t outrun defenders, or make anyone miss in the open field, but he will catch most of the passes thrown his way. So far this season, Chandler has hauled in 22 catches for just under 300 yards—not exactly numbers that jump off the page, but if you need a tight end for week eight, consider the big man from Buffalo.
The Bills play the Jets this week, and all season New York has given up loads of fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Through seven weeks, opposing tight ends have caught 27 passes for 325 yards and 7 touchdowns. Three out of the seven games tight ends have had multiple touchdown receptions in one game (Julius Thomas, Antonio Gates, Martellus Bennett). The tight ends that caught those touchdown passes are top five in the league, but the Jets struggle against tight ends in the red zone.
The Bills coaching staff needs to take advantage of their division rivals weakness. The Jets are known to have a stout defense under head coach Rex Ryan, but if “Uncle Rico” Kyle Orton can read the defense, he should be able to find his big tight end open in the Jets zone coverage scheme. I’m not saying Scott Chandler will win the fantasy week for you, but if there is one week Chandler will score his first touchdown of the season—it’ll be this week against the Jets.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/scott-chandler-fantasy-sleeper-week-8/FF SleepersFootballNews and UpdatesBuffalo Bills,New York JetsScott Chandler is not a hot commodity as a fantasy tight end, heck he's only owned in 6% of fantasy leagues, but Chandler has had a fairly decent season, and has flown under the radar even in fan crazed Buffalo.
