Soundgarden/Audioslave Frontman Chris Cornell Dead at 52
Chris Cornell of the band Audioslave and Soundgarden was found dead Wednesday night in Detroit in his hotel room of apparent suicide. According to an official statement, Cornell’s wife had a family friend go check on him and he had to force his way into the room where Cornell was on the bathroom floor with a band around his neck. Reports say there was no blood at the scene.
He posted on his Facebook page Wednesday, hours before his death, the Soundgarden song ‘By Crooked Steps’, along with the lyrics “I’m the shape of the hole inside your heart.” One of the lyrics from the song goes like this … “Blood raining down cuts a deep, deep river and we’re diving, and we’re diving.”
Soundgarden first hit the Seattle grunge scene in 1984 and had big hits such as “Black Hole Sun” and “Spoonman” which won Grammy awards. The band split in 1997 and went on to work with other bands or have solo careers more than a decade, reuniting in 2010. Cornell was also the frontman of Audioslave.
Cornell struggled with drug addiction since about the age of 13, saying it was a daily struggle. He had been in rehab but had relapsed over the years.
He was an incredible vocalist with a voice that was incomparable and he will be greatly missed by many.https://www.myfantasysportstalk.com/soundgardenaudioslave-frontman-chris-cornell-dead-at-52/https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/chris-cornell.jpg?fit=446%2C446&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/www.myfantasysportstalk.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/chris-cornell.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1EntertainmentMusicRecent PostsAudioslave, chris cornell,SoundgardenChris Cornell of the band Audioslave and Soundgarden was found dead Wednesday night in Detroit in his hotel room of apparent suicide.
