Star Trek/Green Lantern: Stranger Worlds #2 opens with Atrocitus, the leader and only known surviving member of the rage powered Red Lantern Corps, in space. Without his power battery, the only thing keeping his ring powered, and him alive, is his rage. He travels searching for the source of what he describes as the purest rage he has ever found.

The story then picks up where the previous issue ended, with Hal Jordan and the crew of the Enterprise fighting Sinestro over the newly discovered body of a Manhunter (the precursor to the Green Lanterns) of this universe. Sinestro and his Klingon army escape with the Manhunter in hopes of using it to find that universe’s planet Oa, former home to the Green Lantern Corps.

Meanwhile on Earth, Starfleet informs Green Lanterns John Stewart, Guy Gardner, and Kilowog that Atrocitus is causing destruction and are sent to deal with him.

This issue was alright. It’s definitely building up to something big with it now known that Oa exists in the Star Trek universe. This issue also shows that Sinestro is working with not only the Klingons, but with the greedy Orange Lantern, Larfleeze. The end of the issue also has the return of a certain Star Trek character that I will not spoil here.

The art remains consistent and isn’t too bad. My only real complaint is how Larfleeze is drawn pretty differently in these crossovers compared to the main DC comics.

In these crossovers, the Orange Lantern doesn’t have the long, more animalistic face that he does in the regular Green Lantern comics.

The book definitely focuses more on the DC characters than the Star Trek characters, so it is important to have some basic Green Lantern knowledge before reading this.

If you are already enjoying the story, and the characters, you still will.
