Stephen Strasburg has exited the Nationals game in the top of the fourth inning with an apparent injury to his left side. While watching the game, you can visibly see discomfort on Strasburg’s face while throwing his final few pitches before the Nationals training staff removed him from the game. It was evident Strasburg  was pleading his case to stay in, but the Nats’ did the smart move and removed him from the game.

This is the fourth time this season Strasburg has been pulled from a start due to injury and has spent time on the DL with a left trapezius strain. Tanner Roark replaced the former number one overall pick with the Nationals leading the Giants 3-0 (they have since added three more runs and now lead 6-0). Strasburg owns a 5-5 record with a 5.49 ERA in 57.1 IP, the Nationals are hoping he can avoid another DL stint.
