Season one of Stranger Things was a huge success and the fans of the show want more after the eight episode season could be binge-watched in a flash (I know, I took advantage of a sports-less weekend to complete the entire first season). So question now becomes when will we see Stranger Things season 2?

An official release date has yet to be confirmed. However, based on the timings of season one, we can expect the second series to drop next summer.

In an interview with Collider, director Shawn Levy confirmed it would be unlikely that Stranger Things Season 2 would drop before summer. “You can do a little bit of math, we’re not magicians so there’s no way it launches in spring since I just admitted we started filming today, and we’re doing nine.”

Speaking to TMZ in January, Caleb McCaughlin (Lucas) said that filming was still underway for the show – so it’ll need to be a quick turn around if summer is indeed the plan.

Netflix has released a teaser trailer to let fans know season 2 is coming….sometime.
