‘Supergirl’ Melissa Benoist Takes A Stand
At the Women’s March on Washington today, Supergirl’s Melissa Benoist posted a picture of herself on Instagram holding a sign saying “Don’t grab my pussy it’s made of steel”.
A lot of women and adults in general love it and find it empowering beings there’s so much hate towards new President Donald Trump. This may cause a major backlash for the CW star. WB and the CW Network may not want the star of their kid friendly series using obscene language like this in the public eye. She’s referring to leaked audio of the President using the phrase. The character herself is based on integrity, innocence and the American way. Parents may not appreciate the way the actress approached it.
How do you feel about what Melissa said? Do you think it is empowering or do you think this will hurt the stars image with kids who look up to her as Supergirl? Will this hurt the show or could this actually help the show gain more support?

I think Melissa is well within her rights to support and stand for what she believes in and I’m with her. Watching all the social media on Saturday, the moment I saw that picture show up gave me a moment of joyous laughter and pride for her. Will it tarnish her name with the CW showrunners? Hopefully not.
That show is NOT kids friendly. No way in hell I’d ever let my kid watch it that’s for sure. Not with pervy homos running around trying to excuse their wrongdoing. I was on the fence when they had their rainbow parader episodes. To be honest it’s just disgusting. Private issues like that should stay PRIVATE. Her doing this is the killing stroke. I want her to entertain me, not shove her politics onto me. Especially when they are so crude. I hope this show goes away.
