The Detroit Lions signed Pro-Bowl guard T.J. Lang to a three-year. There is no word on the amount the deal is worth yet.Detroit lions

This is the second lineman that the Lions have signed in an attempt to solidify their spot as an NFC threat.

For Lang, the move is a homecoming of sorts. He is Royal Oak, Michigan. Lang also attended Eastern Michigan University.

It should be noted that Lang is coming off of a foot injury sustained against the Atlanta Falcons in the playoff. Lang also had a hip surgery that was deemed successful.

These may play into how successful he is in the upcoming seasons. However, if he is healthy, this is a very good addition for the Detroit Lions.

This signing also marks the second offensive lineman that the Green Bay Packers have seen leave in free agency. They are currently with seven linemen on the roster.

It would not be surprising though to see them attempt to gain one or two more through free agency or the draft, as they seem to sustain many injuries at these positions each season.
