Pirates of the Caribbean

On Sunday, Disney debuted a new trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man Tell No Tales during the Superbowl. The new trailer gives fans their first look at the return of Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom and Geoffrey Rush’s Captain Barbossa. We also get another look at the film’s creepy villain, Captain Salazar.  In the first film of the saga, we had skeleton pirates that could walk underwater. The fifth time around it looks like we’ve got pirates that can walk on water.

There are still plenty of questions left to be answered and we’ll probably have to wait until Memorial Day to find out. In the meantime, here they are: How much time has passed in between the Stranger Tides and Dead Man Tell No Tales? Why does Jack look like he climbed out of a mud pit?  Where’s Elizabeth? What has Barbossa been up to? And lastly,  if dead pirates and sailors pass on to the other side courtesy of Will, why do we have ghost pirates in this next film?

While we wait for answers check out the extended look at the forthcoming Pirates of the Caribbean film.
