the great indoorsIn tonight’s episode of The Great Indoors Jack breaks it off with Rachael, a girl he’s been on three dates with because he isn’t looking for anything serious. He then struggles with the idea of getting old and ends up going home with a girl from the bar who ends up being his co-worker Masons roommate, Kaylee, who is a millennial.

Throughout the episode, Jack struggles to keep up with Kaylee and her fast paced lifestyle, staying out all night partying. When Kaylee tells Jack she’s going out on a date with another guy she matched with on Tinder, Jack can’t figure out why she would want to do such a thing when he himself is quite the catch. It seems as if Jack has met the female version of himself and he’s not sure how he feels about it. He later finds out from Mason and his other co-worker, Clark, that not only did Kaylee go out with another guy, she has hooked up with several other people recently in Masons circle of friends.

Jack confronts her, saying he doesn’t want to sound “old school” but he wanted to know if they were “going steady”. She tells him that she’s not looking for anything serious right now. Jack, suffering from exhaustion, has a mini meltdown and his bartender friend, Eddie, takes him home where he sleeps for eighteen hours.

Giving up on Kaylee and her exhausting lifestyle, Jack ends up sending Rachael a message to meet him at the bar and they give it another try with date number four. Is Jack finally ready to accept that he’s getting older and ready to settle down? Time will tell!

The Great Indoors airs Thursdays at 8:30/7:30c on CBS.
