The New Face of 205 Live
205 Live went from Purple to Leopard Print in the span of 24 hours. The 205 brand on last Sunday’s No Mercy PPV made a move to change the belt from Neville to Enzo Amore, which shocked the live audience as much as the audience at home! The 205 Live brand has been a roller coaster on track to going downward and it didn’t look too promising. We the fans were blessed with having the Cruiserweight Championship match right before the main event, so we couldn’t avoid watching. We all know how it ended, with a surprising Enzo victory.
Now at this point the Cruiserweight brand is still spiraling downward..up until the last ten minutes of the following Monday Night RAW. Enzo Amore has single-handedly SAVED (yes, you read that right) the purple brand. On the episode of Monday Night RAW following No Mercy, Enzo called out the entire roster, put them on notice while sporting the Cruiserweight title. Now at this moment I’m still not fully invested, but my attention was sparked when Neville came in and got revenge with a brutal beatdown of Enzo to close out the show.
My interest level is now rising even more after I saw the exclusive video of what happened after RAW went off the air. Braun Strowman’s theme hits, and again Strowman does what he does best – kick some ass and leaves Enzo’s carcass for the rest of the brand. At this exact moment is where I become invested; the brand attacks like a bunch of hyenas picking scraps and all getting a piece of the action on a defenseless Enzo.
What I hope is the outcome of this is: Enzo Amore the true heel of 205 Live and winning only when they count.
