The Rebirth of Penn State
Penn State is back on the rise after being down for a couple of years. We all know about the chilling and digusting details of the child sexual scandals of Jerry Sandusky. On November 4, 2011, the grand jury released a report that former defensive coordinator, Jerry Sandusky, had sexually abused young boys over a period of 15 years. To make matters worse, officials (cowards) at Penn State were scared to notify enforcement after learning about incidents.
In 2000, James Calhoun, a janitor at Penn State, told his supervisor he saw Sandusky sexually abusing a young boy with his own eyes. No one reported the incident to University officials. It pisses me off to know this sick man was starting trouble home centers, group foster homes, and non-profit organizations for kids knowing they we’re already having problems. In the words of J. Cole, this man is definitely a “False Prophet”.
All of these coaches knew about these incidents, but were too afraid to do something including Coach Paterno. Penn State has a Big 10 Championship game with Wisconsin Saturday, and I think this is great for the program. They are ranked # 7 and are back as being a great football team as they once where. Hopefully top recruits can look past the incidents and can bring the great times back to Penn State. Paterno was a great coach, but this incident will forever taint his legacy at Penn State. I’m glad to see they have moved on and become a Powerhouse team like they once where. I’m rooting for them to win the Big 10 Championship today and bring back glory to a once fallen program.
UPDATE: Penn State beat Wisconsin 35-31 to earn the Big Ten Championship. They moved up to No.5 in the polls and will take on USC in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 2
