The magic of Jon Robinson is something special. After moving out of the #1 pick in the NFL Draft, he settled for the 15th pick, and a whole bunch of draft picks. He then used a couple of those picks to trade back up to Cleveland‘s new spot, #8. He then achieved the original goal of getting the best OT in the draft. He believes that is Jack Conklin from Michigan State.

Jack Conklin is 6’6 and over 300 lbs. He won first team All-American honors this year and has played 39 games in three seasons as a Spartan. He has been a huge part of Connor Cook‘s success.

The Titans obviously needed help at the OT position. The draft originally looked like the Titans would take Laremy Tunsil with the #1 overall pick (he had some draft night issues).

They then traded out of the #1 pick with the Rams. They went into draft night with the 15th overall pick. Jon Robinson made yet another move, and jumped into Cleveland’s #8 pick.

So they took the long way around, but still got who they think is the best OT in the draft. Whether or not they missed on this pick or not will be determined. The point is Robinson got this team back into position, after getting a boat load of picks, to get the same player they were most likely going to take at #1 overall.

This was close to a “Draft Day” scenario. This guy has a huge early lead in the executive of the year running.

The Titans traded their 3rd round pick this year, and next year’s 2nd round pick. They received the Browns 6th round pick this year.

The Titans will be back on the clock tomorrow with a big day. They have the 33rd, 43rd and 45th pick in the 2nd round. They will also still have the Rams 76th pick in the 3rd round.
