Tom Brady

Scary news for New England fans came out late Wednesday evening. Per NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, five time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady jammed his right throwing hand during practice Wednesday after his teammate accidentally ran into him. The Patriots can breathe now because X-rays came back negative, and no structural or further damage was announced.

A source close to Brady stated that an injury so close to the championship game could linger, and ultimately play a factor if Brady doesn’t manage his injury properly. Brady missed all of Wednesday’s media availability, but the source went on to say that Brady “should be ok” as the New England Patriots prepare for the Jacksonville Jaguars. If anything serious were to occur, veteran backup quarterback Brian Hoyer will be available, but more news on the Patriots and Brady’s injured hand will be available after their noon practice on Thursday.
