Of course the Cardinals show up at number one on this list. At 53-28, they stand above every other team in all of baseballĀ and look to play deep into October. The Astros might surprise some at number four, but I had to place them ahead of the Royals, as the swept them earlier in the week and looked like the better team. Houston has the makings of a formidable, but young team in the AL. The NL Central has three teams in the top ten with the Pirates and Cubs joining the Cards. Three divisions only have one team represented, AL Central (Royals), NL East (Nationals) and the NL West (Dodgers). Two AL East teams bring up the bottom of the top ten, with the division-leading Yankees and third-place Blue Jays (2nd place Orioles fell short).
