A quick two days in the Premier League means another recap of the top stories from Tuesday and Wednesday.

1. Manchester City continue invincible run

Manchester City’s elite helped put on a show on the road against Swansea City. David Silva netted a brace with goals coming from Kevin DeBruyne and Sergio Augero. City remain on top of the table and undefeated still through 17 games. Swansea City are on the bottom of the table.

2. Leicester City win 4-1 against Southampton

With a 3-0 already by the end of the first half, Leicester cruised their way to a victory despite ruining the clean sheet in the second half. Striker Shinji Okazaki was the man of the math with a brace. Leicester remain 8th in the table and Southampton remain 11th.

3. Burnley riding near the Top 4

On Tuesday, Burnley came out with a late win against Stoke City. It was after that result Burnley were in the Top 4, in a Champions League spot. It would be one of the biggest upsets in Premier League history to see a club like Burnley play against the likes of giant European clubs such as Real Madrid or FC Bayern Munich. Currently, Burnley sit in 6th position after the results of other fixtures but they’re knocking on the door of a European competition.

4. Spurs win 2-0, Serge Aurier scores phenomenal 1st PL goal

Just before the end of the first half, defender Serge Aurier scored on what was an attempted cross from the right. The ball carried so far towards goal, it ended up in the top left corner, which even surprised the sideline official. The Spurs finished off their opponents, Brighton & Hove Albion, with a goal in the 87th minute. The Spurs rise to 4th in the table while Brighton remain 13th.

5. Chelsea beat Huddersfield 3-1

Chelsea had no trouble handling their opponent, walking into the half with a 2-0 lead. Winger Pedro made it 3-0 in the 50th to put the game away despite the stoppage time goal from Huddersfield. Chelsea remain 3rd in the table while Huddersfield remain 12th.
