There were great performances over the Premier League weekend, so let’s go over the top stories.

1. Augero nets four against Leicester City

Further supplanting their hold on the top spot in the league, Manchester City crushed Leicester City 5-1. The scoring kicked off in the third minute with Raheem Sterling. Leicester equalized through a 24th minute goal from Jamie Vardy. The score remained 1-1 through the end of the first half. Then Sergio Augero happened, and Leicester had no answer. Augero scored all his four goals from the 48th to the 90th minute to put on a great show for the home crowd. City remain on top and Leicester remain 8th.

2. Spurs victorious in North London Derby

Arsenal found themselves again on the inconsistent path. Not even managing to come up with a goal, the Spurs only needed one goal from Harry Kane to secure the victory. The Spurs remain in 5th while Arsenal remain 6th.

3. Newcastle upset Man United 1-0

The game went 0-0 into halftime. Throughout the game, it was clear Manchester United were still trying to find their footing with Alexis Sanchez in the lineup. Newcastle broke the scoring open in the 65th minute with a goal from Matt Ritchie. Newcastle rose to 13th while United remain 2nd.

4. Huddersfield dominate Bournemouth 4-1

For a team that’s fighting relegation, Huddersfield looked anything but. They played with more aggression, kicking off the scoring in the 7th minute. Despite Bournemouth equalizing six minutes later, Huddersfield kept putting goals past the net. A goal midway through the first half, an own goal and a stoppage time goal, both in the second half, gave Huddersfield the lift out of the relegation zone. Huddersfield sit 17th, while Bournemouth drop to 10th.

5. Hazard scores a brace to help Chelsea rebound

Coming off an embarrassing loss to Watford, Chelsea’s world class winger Eden Hazard helped the defending champions gain some structure. He scored in the 25th and 71st minute with wing back Victor Moses adding a goal to help Chelsea to a 3-0 victory against West Brom. Chelsea and West Brom remain in their positions of 4th and 20th, respectively.
