Top 5 Things to Look Forward to After E3 Press Conferences
E3 doesn’t end until tomorrow, but all of the major press conferences are over and majority of the big news is out. There were many things announced and talked about, along with new games, consoles and accessories. There are so many exciting things coming out soon that it was hard to create this list. Check out my top 5 list below.
1. Xbox Announces Two New Consoles
There are two new Xbox systems coming out in the next year. The first one is called the Xbox One S and it is comes out this August. This Xbox is 40 percent slimmer, making the power supply internal, along with the biggest hard drive to date at 2TB, HDR gaming with 4K visuals, a vertical stand and a new Xbox One controller. The new controller has grip on the back of the controller, Bluetooth capability and longer range.
That was announced to start off the E3 press conference, but the next console ended it on a high note. The name of the console is Project Scorpio. It is supposed to be the most powerful console on the market, with six teraflops, 4K visuals and VR capability, it will be a very nice console. It will be coming out holiday 2017.
2. Death Stranding is Hideo Kojima’s newest game
Norman Reedus stars in Hideo Kojima’s brand new video game by Kojima’s own publishing company called Kojima Productions. It does not have a release date, but it is coming to the Playstation 4 and no word of if it will be an exclusive to the console or not. This game looks like it will be another legendary creation by Kojima. Here is the trailer.
3. E3 Showed That Battlefield 1 is a COD Killer
This game was hyped up after the trailer was released and it showed that it will be the next great shooter. While it has the most likes ever by a trailer on YouTube and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare has the most dislikes, it proved itself why. The game will have natural destructive environments, weather will change, and a live radar that shows what is going on while you spawn so you know where explosions are happening etc. This game looks beautiful and will easily be something for gamers to pick up this fall. 4. Xbox Play Anywhere
This is something new coming to Xbox and it is coming this year. Certain games will be able to be played on Xbox One and PC with Windows 10. Gears of War 4, Sea of Thieves, Forza Horizon 3, Scalebound, State of Decay 2, Halo Wars 2, Recore, Crackdown 3, Ark: Survival Evolved, Cuphead, Phantom Dust, Killer Instinct: Season 3, We Happy Few, Slime Rancher, The Culling, and Everspace are the games so far announced with the ability. If you buy any of these games on Windows 10, you also can play them on Xbox One, so it works both ways. This will give gamers the ability to play with more people, and the chance to play on another device.
5. Resident Evil 7 Biohazard Seems to Bring the Horror Back to the Series
Resident Evil 7 was announced at E3 and man oh man is it back in a big way. Resident Evil 4 was the last game that had a horror element to the series. The next two had more action and the horror experience seemed to be lacking and not a part of the series anymore. The trailer for the next installment though showed that horror is the main focus this time around. Along with that, this game will have VR play-ability. It is also in first person instead of third person, something new for the series and it brings a whole new level of scare to the series. Check out some gameplay of it below.
