NFL Draft Prospects

The college football season is one week away and to get you ready we are bringing out the college players you should keep a close eye on all season as they will likely hear their names called early during the 2018 NFL Draft.

QB

nfl draft prospects

1. Josh Allen-WYO

2. Sam Darnold-USC

3. Josh Rosen-UCLA

4. Luke Falk-Wash St.

5. Mason Rudolph-OK St.

6. Lamar Jackson-LOU

7. Quinton Flowers-USF

8. Baker Mayfield-OU

9. Jake Browning-WAS

10. Deondre Francois-FSU

Analysis: My favorite of this group is Josh Allen from Wyoming and it is based on his ability to continue to grow as a signal caller. He has the greatest upside of this group and can become a franchise-type QB in the NFL. Now, a lot can change from now until May when the NFL Draft commences—but the 2018 QB class will be loaded with talent.

Favorite: Josh Allen-WYO

Sleeper to watch: Quinton Flowers-USF

RB

1. Saquon Barkley-PSU

2. Derrius Guice-LSU

3. Royce Freeman-ORE

4. Nick Chubb-UGA

5. Bo Scarbrough-ALA

6. Ronald Jones II-USC

7. Akrum Wadley-Iowa

8. Mike Weber-OSU

9. Ralph Webb-Vandy

10. Rawleigh Williams III-ARK

Analysis: While not as deep as the 2017 draft class, the 2018 class does have a lot of talent. Barkley and Guice have the potential to be Top 10 picks and Freeman, Chubb and Scarbrough can all become 1st round picks if their final collegiate season lives up to their potential.

Favorite: Saquon Barkley-PSU

Sleeper to watch: Ralph Webb-Vandy

WR

1. Christian Kirk-TAMU

2. Courtland Sutton-SMU

3. James Washington-Okla St.

4. Calvin Ridley-ALA

5. Equanimeous St. Brown-ND

6. Parris Campbell-OSU

7. Dante Pettis-WASH

8. Simmi Cobbs Jr.-IND

9. Antonio Callaway-FLA

10. Deon Cain-CLEM

Analysis: The wide receiver class might not carry the name-value of previous years, but there is no shortage of talent in this group. I’m a lot higher on Courtland Sutton than most at this point, but I believe he will continue to see his draft stock climb with a great year in SMU’s vertical passing system.

Favorite: Christian Kirk-TAMU

Sleeper to watch: Courtland Sutton-SMU

TE

1. Mark Andrew-OKLA

2. Cam Serigne-WAKE

3. Troy Fumagalli-WISC

Analysis: The 2017 tight end class was the deepest in my lifetime—2018 is not the case. I only put three tight ends, because right now these are the only guys worth a Day 2 pick. We could see a lot of shifting once the season starts, but right now it’s a weak 2018 class.

OL

1. Connor Williams-OT-TEX

2. Mike McGlinchey-OT-ND

3. Martez Ivey-OT/OG-FLA

4. Martina Rankin-OT-MISS ST

5. Quenton Nelson-OG-ND

6. Billy Price-OG-OSU

7. Scott Quessenberry-OG/C-UCLA

8. Mason Cole-C-MICH

9. Frank Ragnow-OG/C-ARK

10. Will Clapp-OG/C-LSU

Analysis: In 2017, the offensive line group was considered weak by many analysts but the 2018 class is the exact opposite. I see up to five potential franchise tackles and a multitude of solid interior lineman who can play from day one.

Favorite: Connor Williams-OT-Texas

Sleeper to watch: Frank Ragnow-OG/C-Arkansas
