‘True Detective’ may return for a third season
It looks as though we may be getting a third season of HBO’s True Detective after all. It’s been two years since season two ended and fans were not happy with how it turned out. You could say it was a bit of a let down compared to the amazing first season that starred Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson which was binge worthy, and the fate of the show has been left up in the air ever since. Season two had great actors Rachael McAdams and Vince Vaughan but still came up short in the end story wise.
There have been reports of McConaughey saying he would love to return to the show as his character in season one which he and Harrelson both also produced. Show runner Nic Pizzolatto is said to be in talks with Deadwood creator David Milch about teaming up for the third season.
Season two told a different story with new characters so maybe it’s time to get back to the roots of what made this show great to begin with. Nothing is set in stone yet but here’s to hoping for a reunion with McConaughey and Harrelson on-screen.
