The Huskies rolled passed the Blue Devils after Wednesday’s matchup defeating CCSU 99-52, while shooting 60.3% as a team. The Huskies got off to a hot start, and had a stellar first half scoring 46 points, holding the Blue Devils to 26 points of their own.

The Blue Devils struggled all game shooting 34.7% as a team, and were out rebounded 43 to 17 by the Huskies who had 2 players with 11+ rebounds(K.Facey-12, D.Hamilton-11).

The Huskies were led by senior transfer, Shonn Miller who scored a team high 25 points, and grabbed 5 rebounds while shooting 10 of 12 from the field. Sophomore Daniel Hamilton had another stat sheet stuffing game, recording his first career triple-double making 5 of 12 shots for 11 points, grabbing 11 rebounds and dishing 11 assists while adding 3 steals. Also, junior Rodney Purvis had another good game pouring in 16 of his own, while shooting 5 of 9 from the field. On the other end for the Blue Devils, they were led by Austin Nehls who recorded a team high 16 points shooting 5 of 11 in a losing effort. The Huskies are now 14-0 against CCSU all-time,winning their third game in a row. The Huskies are 8-3 on the season, and CCSU dropped to 1-9.

 Up next for the Blue Devils (1-9) are the Yale Bulldogs (5-5) on 12/30, while the Huskies (8-3) will face off with the Texas Longhorns (8-3) who are led by new head coach Shaka Smart on 12/29.
