The Air Force Falcons (6-10, 1-3) are in for their most difficult stretch of conference play with their next three opponents a combined 9-1 in MW play (UNLV, Nevada, Boise State).
The Falcons are coming off their first MW victory of the season: 62-48 at home over San Diego State on Saturday. Air Force is led by Lavelle Scottie‘s 13.4 ppg and Ryan Swan’s 6.4 rpg.
For UNLV the team will look to remain unbeaten in Mountain West play as it travels to Colorado Springs, Colorado, to face Air Force on Wednesday.
UNLV (9-6, 3-0) is off to its first 3-0 start to conference play in 20 years and for the first ever as a part of the Mountain West conference. The Runnin’ Rebels have started their MW season with home wins over Colorado State and Wyoming, while picking up a road victory at New Mexico last Tuesday.
The Rebels have been led in scoring this year by Kris Clyburn, who is averaging 13.3 ppg. Freshman forward Joel Ntambwe is close behind at 12.4 ppg, while sophomore guard Amauri Hardy is third at 11.7 ppg.
The team lost one of their best players in Shakur Juiston, who will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, he averaged 10.8 ppg and 8.8 rpg over eight games played.
UNLV is 3-0 this season on the road ATS.
Air Force is 4-3 this season at home ATS.
