ventura beams machado

Last night, Kansas City Royals Yordano Ventura and Baltimore Orioles’ Manny Machado had words to say before Ventura beams Machado with a 99-mph pitch.

Ventura, a talented young 25 year old pitcher for the Kansas Royals with a live arm must be punished and should be suspended to learn his lesson. The young flame-thrower has had issues in the past where he has thrown at players and strikes once again in last night’s matchup against the Baltimore Orioles. His newest “victim” Manny Machado. Ventura who faced Machado in the second inning, after being down 5-0 early was obviously frustrated and was apparently trying to take out his frustration on Machado. Ventura opened the at-bat against the Orioles’s shortstop with a 98-mph pitch up and in, catching the attention of Machado. On the very next pitch, Ventura threw another 98-mph pitch, in on Machado nearly hitting him once again, where Machado stared down Ventura before flying out to left field, where he and Ventura were chirping at one another.

Machado’s next at-bat against Ventura started off on the wrong foot immediately, as Ventura’s first pitch was a 99-mph pitch right into Machado’s rib cage. After nearly being hit twice in his last at-bat, Machado took the situation into his own hands and charged the mound at Ventura, delivering the first blow to Ventura and knocking the right hander to the ground before the bench-clearing brawl erupted.

Ventura is immature, a hot-headed menace on the mound, has a loud mouth and is intentionally beaming 99-mph pitches at players. He should be suspended for an extended period of time, as this is one of several incidents of Ventura beaming the opponent’s hitters. Ventura is extremely talented, but the righty hurler has an issue and has become one of the most disliked pitchers in all of baseball.

Adam Jones pitched-in on the brawl, and said this about the Ventura, “I knew it was going to happen. The guy has electric stuff and the talent is all there, but between the ears, there is a circuit board off-balance. I don’t get it. I don’t get it.” And that’s something many of us believe, as this has been an occurrence that has happened multiple time. What is going on in the head of Ventura? Why does he keep beaming batters? Although I don’t know why this keeps on happening, something I do know is that MLB must throw down the hammer on Ventura, who is intentionally attacking opponents when he is frustrated and suspended him where he misses at least 3 starts.

Below you can see the video of Ventura and Machado, leading up to the brawl and then the 99-mph pitch that hit Machado.
