Virtual Reality, the new Frontier of Film
Virtual Reality, or also known as VR, has been a concept of entertainment for a very long time. As we know, this concept has had its ups and downs for many decades as it seems to have always fallen short to grabbing the audience’s attention. But today is a new age as we are constantly advancing in new technology and VR has taken a new shape and new form of approach. Now more than ever we have seen the rise of different gaming and film production companies take advantage of the great concept of VR.
VR as we know, allows us to embark into the world of either the game or film. This is special because as we continuously grow as a cultural that’s all about being fans of one thing or another, we will be able to take it to the next level by actually being inside of that world. Imagine, standing in the same interrogation room with Batman and Joker, from the Dark Knight, or realizing that you and your crew is going to need a bigger boat as you watch Jaws chomp away at the boat in person. As VR is continuing to advanced, we are going to see more and more film production companies tagging along the new trend of living in your favorite fictional world.
Personally, I think I’m going to stick with the big screen and sitting down, but there’s no question that there are a lot of people, ready and excited to escape our reality to embark in their favorite adventure. VR is making big steps in the entertainment industry, and I’m excited to see how much it will impact how we will watch movies and play games in the future.
So what do you think? Are you into VR and are you excited to be able to go into the world of your favorite story? Tell us what you think and to keep up with all things going on in entertainment, make sure to stay tuned with MFST.
