Just like the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Golden State Warriors remain undefeated through their first five games in the post-season. Not many people had the Jazz beating the Clippers in round 1, and heading into round 2 many continued to wonder if the Jazz could even win just one game against this monster team.Warriors

Even without Steve Kerr the Warriors had no problem when it came to dismantling the Jazz. They had five players in double-figures led by Steph Curry’s 22 points.  The Warriors went on to finish Game 1 with a playoff low seven turnovers which is pretty amazing considering how physical the Jazz can be at times.

Utah just couldn’t get it going. They’ve never been here, never felt the pressure in a situation like this and they’re still a young team. Gordon Hayward just couldn’t get into rhythm, Joe Johnson started to look his age, and it was Rudy Gobert who led all scorers on his team but he only had 13. If anybody believes that the Jazz can pull off such a huge upset it’s themselves and that’s it.

I still expect closer games and will give the Jazz at least one victory over the Warriors. They were only down by 12 at the half, and that’s because of the sloppy play, and their stars like Gordon Hayward having an off night. For the Warriors, I don’t expect them to take the Jazz for granted, but I can’t see them putting themselves in a situation early out playing games for numerous amounts of minutes, or getting too fancy on offense. Their game play should remain the same when it comes to defense and slowing down the game, until the Jazz get something going to worry the Warriors in-game situations. What’s intriguing here is what the Jazz are going to change going into Game 2, and if they continue to play man-to-man, or start to double team either Curry or Durant.
